Second Air Serv Entebbe Hangar Construction Begins

Entebbe, Uganda

Air Serv has begun construction of a second aircraft hangar at Entebbe International Airport.

Slated for completion in March, 2016, the 1,824 m2 (19,626 ft2) facility will include six offices, five shops/storerooms, a board/training room, and 1,368 m2 (14,720 ft2) of hangar floor space – capacity for aircraft as large as the Embraer 170.

“By essentially doubling our hangar capacity we will be much better able to support both existing and new customers as well as our own aircraft operations,” said Troy Conrey, Managing Director of Air Serv Uganda. “We have a great local team involved in the project: eMi for site planning, architectural design, permitting and construction management; Marez Services as general contractor; and Fabrication Systems for steel work.”

Air Serv is now accepting office, shop, and hangarage applications for the new complex; for leasing options and information contact Godfrey Kitagenda, Director of Facilities, at +256 (0) 782 506 806 or gkitagenda@airserv.co.ug.

With a fleet of six Cessna Caravans, Air Serv specializes in “last mile” air transportation in support of East African humanitarian programs. Air Serv also provides commercial air charter, facility, and aircraft maintenance services.
